See the attachment, for an important announcement concerning Village Week. At the Village Week Committee AGM on the 22nd January, the existing committee members stood down (after years of excellent service), but – alas – no people presented themselves to take over. Consequently, now there is no Village Week Committee in existence, which means that no central organisation is in place for later this year. As a consequence, no general funding can be applied for, to be used in putting on the various events we enjoyed last year.
A sad outcome, given the many years that Village Week has been a popular event.
But if people are not stepping forward, no other outcome is possible.
