Contractors for Pines Burn Windfarm, near Hawick, have confirmed they will start transporting components overnight under police escort from 15th May.
The route starts at Rosyth, down the A68 to the A68/A699 junction at the War Memorial towards Selkirk and then on to Hawick.
The 21 large blades will be transferred to special blade-lifting vehicles at the transfer station recently constructed just south of the Longnewton junction. The plan is they will be transported at night during June and July subject to police escort availability.
