Now that the festive season is well out of the way the Friends of St Boswells Community Woodland have turned their thoughts to some events at the woodland in the coming year.
On Sunday 4th Feb 1pm – 3pm we hope to start some of the winter tasks. (Please note Sunday rather than Saturday). Depending on numbers and abilities we can choose from:
cutting back some of the branches along the drive to the Tennis Club and prepping them for use at the Book Nook and the dead hedge
a general check and tidy of the paths after the storms
spreading some bark chippings
creating a drainage channel for rainwater from the tennis club car park into the woodland
a general check for litter
Please dress for the weather and if you can bring along some tools such as secateurs, loppers, handsaws, spades, mattocks and wheelbarrows that would be helpful. No power tools please.
We hope you can join us and that the weather is kind! Do please spread the word!
