The concert for Ukraine on Saturday night (7th May), featuring the One Acchord Ladies A Cappella Chorus and the ceilidh band Bedlam from Midlem, was a great success, in both musical and monetary terms. The hall’s superb acoustics, together with its sound & lighting equipment, were put to good use. A particularly moving movement occurred when the Ukrainian National Anthem was sung (by a Ukrainian girl) and played by the band. The final amount collected for the DEC Ukraine appeal was an impressive £1,738.33p. Well done, everyone!
