On the 2nd June at St Boswells Village Hall, commencing at 11-30, a light in commemoration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee will be unveiled by the Duke of Buccleuch, the Lord Lieutenant and hence the Queen’s representative for Roxburgh, Ettrick and Lauderdale. This light, made by local craftsman Mike Fox, echoes the existing hall lights (erected in 1902) which commemorate Edward VII’s coronation. It shall be positioned above the main door of the hall. We are grateful to the Scottish Borders Council for awarding us a grant from The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022 Fund, which helped defray the cost of this enterprise. A reception will follow. It will be a wonderful historical event!

COME AND HELP US CELEBRATE – EVERYONE IS WELCOME to the event and the following reception.
