Booker Prize winning author, Douglas Stuart, will be joining us in the hall on Monday 18th April to discuss his new novel, Young Mungo. Protestant Mungo and Catholic James live in the hyper-masculine and violently sectarian world of Glasgow’s housing estates in the early 1990s. They should be sworn enemies but instead find themselves falling in love, and dream of escaping the grey city.

TIME: 11am (doors open 10.30am) in the Greater Hall, followed by a book-signing in the Lesser Hall, 12:00 – 1:00 pm.

This superb event has been organized by Mainstreet Trading, St Boswells (+44 (0)1835824087), to whom all inquiries should be directed. A documentary crew will be filming part of the event in the hall! How much footage will actually be used remains to be seen, of course.

In line with current Scottish Government advice, while mask wearing is not mandatory on this occasion it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
