St Boswells Village Hall’s management committee is on the lookout for two friendly, reliable local people to help look after our much-loved community hall, in terms of cleaning and caretaking.
This part-time role could be shared by two people in various ways (to be discussed; there are several possibilities). Each postholder should expect to work around 24 hours over the course of a four-week period. This would be ideal for people who enjoy keeping things clean, tidy and welcoming, and like being part of village life.
THE ROLE INCLUDES:
• General cleaning of the hall
• Setting up tables and chairs for hall users
• Showing prospective hirers around the building
• Routine fire alarm testing
The Village Hall is community-owned – since it opened in 1896! – and is run by a supportive and enthusiastic volunteer committee.
This advertised role is a really important part of keeping the building safe, welcoming and running smoothly.
If this sounds like something you (or someone you know!) might enjoy, we’d love to hear from you.
