Anyone passing the Village Hall in the last few days will have noticed something changing. Yes, the doors have gone red! I know a few people were getting used to the white doors, but because the Hall is in a conservation area we couldn’t change things too much from the original look; they are quite nice though.
Essentially the main phase of the Hall renovation is complete, apart from finishing off the plumbing, cleaning everything up, and checking everything over (known as “snagging”). The plan is to move things back over the next couple of weeks in time for the Grand Opening on Thursday May 29th (6.30pm), and then onto Village Week, with the St Boswells Live! show on Saturday night.
Each picture tells a story, so here’s a few stories of where things have got to over the past couple of weeks. If you want to see the finished product then do come along to our opening night, and perhaps help move things back into the Hall this Saturday, 17th May (contact Keith on 01835 822692 if you would like to).
