St Boswells Village Hall Committee launched their Refurbishment Plans during St Boswells Village Week 2013 with a very well attended Cheese & Wine Launch Evening.
Following on from the popular Beat the Retreat event, villagers were piped to the Hall in splendid style by the Melrose Pipe Band and entertained in the Hall by the Earlston High School Jazz Band. Leven Brown, record breaking Atlantic Rower, gave an inspirational talk and presentation on his successes and achievements and a History of the Hall was delivered by Mark Douglas, Heritage Planning Officer at Scottish Borders Council.
Plans were available to view the ideas for the Hall refurbishment and everyone enjoyed cheese, wine and a chat with friends and neighbours. Over 250 people attended. At this point, fundraising has reached over £100,000 towards the target of £430,000 for the full refurbishment.
